Ah, there's nothing like a crisp, juicy apple on a lovely autumn day! Add to that a generous grandma, a magnificent apple tree, the community cider press, and a good old-fashioned work bee, and you come up with a quintessential living and learning experience for our Spring Leaves group.

(p.s. The juice went home with all the families to be frozen or pasteurized. We're going to be selling it as a fundraiser at the Pender Transition group's Energy Action Day on Saturday, November 12th, 2011 from 10 am to 3 pm.)
